Car Air Conditioning - Northfield

If your air conditioning isn’t cooling properly, it’s usually a sign the system needs attention. Loss of refrigerant, internal contamination, or failing components can all affect performance. At Northfield Car Care Centre, we carry out air conditioning servicing with accuracy and care, using equipment designed to restore the system properly – not just top it up.

We service both R134a and R1234yf systems, ensuring your vehicle receives the correct refrigerant. A standard service includes refrigerant recovery, vacuum testing, and a precise recharge to manufacturer specifications.

Drivers often ask us what happens when the system has developed a fault, and in these cases, we go further by using specialist flushing equipment to thoroughly clean the system. This process removes contaminants such as debris and degraded oil, which can circulate through the system and cause ongoing issues.

Flushing is particularly important when components like compressors fail. Without it, contaminants can damage new parts and lead to repeat faults but by fully cleaning the system, we help protect the compressor and ensure the air conditioning operates efficiently and reliably over the long term. If leaks or faults are identified, we explain everything clearly before carrying out any additional work, and the focus is always on fixing the issue properly, not applying a temporary solution.

A well-maintained air conditioning system improves comfort, supports effective demisting, and keeps your vehicle performing as it should in all conditions.
